Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Good Earth Clay Company was founded by potter Ron Tremblay as a means of getting his creations into the hands of pottery lovers the world over. Ron works on a potters wheel in both white and brown stoneware clay and applies glazes that are food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
Limited commissions accepted.
The creation process involves throwing the piece and waiting a day or two for the piece to dry to a leather hard stage for trimming. The piece is then covered and allowed to dry to a bone hard stage which can take an additional 5 to 10 days. The piece is then fired for 12 hours in a kiln to 1945℉ bringing it to a “bisque” stage leaving the clay body porous. The next step is to dip or brush glazes on to the clay surface and re-fire the piece to 2232℉.
